L.A County D.A's Office: Man Charged With Murder Of Motorist Dragged Under SUV, Also Charged With Ad

George Gascón, Los Angeles County District Attorney announced that three people have been charged in connection with a murder in Reseda earlier this year. Joshua Reneau (dob 4/18/91), Derek Lateef Hall (dob 1/20/94), and Miracole Brown (dob 5/21/02) were each charged in the case of BA509861 with one count of murder, five counts of assault with a firearm and two counts of second-degree robbery.

“I am grateful that these dangerous individuals are now in custody. Those charged in this case showed a wanton disregard for the victims who were needlessly killed and hurt,” District Attorney Gascón said. “My heart breaks for all the victims who have suffered but I am thankful that this vicious crime spree has come to an end.

My office’s Bureau of Victim Services will ensure that the victims’ family and friends receive the services and resources they need during this time.”

All three defendants were charged in connection to a robbery that occurred in Reseda on July 29 where two victims were wounded during the incident. The fourth suspect, Earl Hunter, who allegedly participated in the robbery, was fatally shot by a security guard rendering help to the victims. Reneau, Hall, and Brown are now charged with Hunter’s murder. The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department.
